FAQs

How does colonic irrigation & colon hydrotherapy work?

The process includes special liquids or water being inserted into the colon to clean the colon. A small tube that will carry the liquids is inserted into the rectum carefully not to cause pain; once the tube is placed in the rectum, the therapist will gently twist on the tubing system for liquid or water to flow into the colon. The liquid is warm and purified, while the tubing is disposable and never used for more than one session. In time when you feel filled with water, the flow of the liquid will be reversed to evacuate all waste from the colon and the process will begin again for the duration of the session.

How many treatments do I need?

The number of treatments needed varies from client to client depending on their personal goals and the reason for having a treatment.

A client may simply want one treatment, followed up by regular maintenance treatments once a month. Usually though, a larger number of clients will decide on a course of several treatments, this is because the colon is often full of gas and stubborn faecal matter that may be resistant to dislodging in the first couple of sessions. Client's often choose our Special offer to kick start a healthier lifestyle and see great results! It is recommended that 2-3 treatments within a short period of time is very helpful in achieving ones goal.

How does a colonic treatment compare to an enema?

An enema only reaches the rectum and lower part of the colon, whereas with colon hydrotherapy, the entire length of the colon (the large intestinal tract approximately 5 to 5½ feet in length) is reached. Colon hydrotherapy is much more effective.
